Accepting these terms

By creating an account or placing an order you accept these terms. We may update them; the version in force when you place an order applies to that order, and we show the date of the last update below.

Accounts

You must be 18 or over to create an account, bid, buy or sell. Give accurate information and keep your email account secure. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or the law.

Orders, prices and taxes

An order is confirmed when we confirm the item, the total and the payment details in writing and you pay. Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise; peso amounts marked ≈ are approximate. Before you pay we confirm the final total, including delivery and any taxes or charges. If we made an error in a price or listing, the Returns & refunds policy explains your choices.

Returns, refunds and warranty

You can return remote purchases within 7 business days of delivery, cancel before delivery, and get a replacement or refund for damaged, opened, wrong or misdescribed items, as set out in the Returns & refunds policy. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Ley 358-05.

Auctions

Bidding opens only after auction terms and payment arrangements are published. When it opens, bid only if you are legally able to buy and intend to pay; bids must meet the increment and arrive before the closing time.

Marketplace listings by collectors

Account holders may publish cards they own. Sellers must describe their cards accurately, may not list counterfeit, stolen or altered items without disclosing it, and must have the right to use the photos they upload. Publication is not an authentication by Hobby House. We may remove a listing that breaks these rules.

Market values and editorial content

The market values in our price guide are estimates calculated from recorded sales of the same card in the same grade. They are information, not an appraisal, an offer to buy or sell, or investment advice. Picks and editorial notes are opinions. No specific card, autograph or value is guaranteed unless the listing says so.

Copyright and trademarks

The Hobby House name, logo, site design, text and original photography belong to Hobby House. Please do not copy them without permission.

Product names, card designs, logos and player names belong to their owners, including manufacturers such as Topps, Panini and The Pokémon Company, leagues, teams, players and grading companies. They appear only to identify the items we sell. Hobby House is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by them unless a listing says so.

When you upload photos or text, you keep your rights and give Hobby House permission to show them on this site and our social media for the purpose you submitted them. Only upload content you own or may use.

If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright or trademark, email us the work, the page address and your contact details. We review it promptly and remove infringing content, under Ley 65-00 on copyright.

Liability

We are responsible for the items we sell and the services we provide as Dominican law requires. We are not responsible for services we do not control, such as Instagram, WhatsApp or carriers, beyond what the law requires.

Law and complaints

These terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic. Please contact us first. You can also file a complaint with Pro Consumidor or go to the competent Dominican courts.
